The Great Sand Dunes in CO is one of my favorite places to visit, and also one of my favorite places to photograph. This was an impromptu trip and I arrived there just as the sun was getting ready to set which set me up with some really great light and some really great shadows. The wind was blowing pretty good and in this shot I was just out of blasting range from the sand whipping over the mound.
