In Havana residents and tourists can buy Wi-Fi cards from the government that get you a set amount of time on the Internet and you can only use them in certain areas in the city. You can always tell where these areas are because they're crowded with people staring intently into their phones. I assume the government blocks a lot of things. This was a photo from a park near where I was staying. I thought the scene was an interesting one. I don't think I need to say much about the photo because I think it speaks
for itself.
On the first day, there I made a conscious decision to not get on Wi-Fi or use a local SIM card on an unlocked phone. I was totally unplugged the whole time I was there and it was a really nice change.
