In the area around the Denver Convention Center and the Denver Center for the Performing Arts they painted the tree trunks and branches with a tree-friendly indigo blue pigment which will go away with time, but it's a great effect.
"Beginning April 18 in a 16-block area of Downtown Denver, international sculpture and conceptual artist Konstantin Dimopoulos will paint 150 trees bright blue. Why blue?
